Online application for admission in SUST starting on 21st November
The online admission application for the first semester of the first year of the 2020-21 academic year of Sylhet Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) will start from November 21.
SUST admission test committee president Professor Dr. Mushtaq Ahmed informed that, students participating in the GST admission test will be able to apply through the site admission.sust.edu from 10 am on November 21 to 12 midnight on December 3.
He further said that the students who have appeared for the GST examination of 'A' unit will be able to apply for both A and B units separately and those who have appeared for the examination of 'B' and 'C' units will be able to apply only for 'B' unit. On the other hand, students appearing for the GST examination admitted in the Department of Architecture will be able to apply simultaneously for the 1-hour examination of General Knowledge in Drawing and Architecture bearing 30-marks.
The application fee for admission in each unit is Tk. 650 and for admission in architecture one has to pay Tk. 1000.
Regarding the merit verification process, University Vice-Chancellor Prof Farid Uddin Ahmed told state media BSS, "We will compile the merit list of students based on the results of the integrated cluster tests." No number of their SSC and HSC will be counted in case of admission.
He further said that since the students have got the opportunity to sit for the integrated admission test based on the criteria of SSC and HSC results, it is not being repeated in the admission process.
